The US Military and College

The US military offers excellent educational benefits for both active duty members and their dependents.

Active duty members typically qualify for tuition assistance, many states waive out-of-state college tuition fees for active duty members and their dependents and some colleges will give credit for military schools. If nothing else, you can likely get Phys. Ed. requirements waived.

Many military bases have an education center where you can free services, such as free proctoring for tests. This can come in handy for distance learning classes or for CLEP or similar tests for acquiring college credit via test.
